Annapolis, MD to St. Michaels, MD

On this beautiful morning, after almost 4 weeks in Annapolis, Oasis departed for the second half of her journey. Today the captain was in no rush. The distance from Annapolis to St. Michaels is about 25 nm. With light winds constantly on the bow, the captain had no chance for Oasis sails to go up, so they motored to their destination.
Oasis ventured at Long Haul Creek before she destined at St. Micheals.
St. Micheals is located on starboard side on the 12 mile-long Miles River. Upon entering St. Michaels Harbor, you can see Hooper's Island Light and The Chesapeake Bay Museum Complex, and in the centre of the waterfront is St. Michaels Marina and adjacent to it, the Bob Pascal'sSt. Micheals Harbour Inn, Marina and Spa.
Even though anchorage is known to have poor hold and sometime it can be over crowded, Oasis anchored for the night and held on well.

Leaving Back Creek, Oasis came upon a fleet of sailboats coming  from a Regatta Race Weekend. There were about 50 sailboats participating in the regatta.

In the Chesapeake Bay, we often meet oil tankers like this.
Sailing in the Chesapeake Bay, there is all kind of traffic coming from or heading to St. Michaels Harbour.

Ahead in the harbour, on left side the Hooper's Strait Lighthouse and on the right the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
Bob Pascal's St. Michaels Harbour Inn, Marina & Spa overlooking the harbour.  Very nice spot.

The Christ Episcopal Church in St. Michaels. You can see it's steeple when entering the harbor.
Bank of America on South Talbot Street.
This is the town main street, also known as Talbot Street. In St Michaels, you will find specialty shops such as antiques, jewelry, gifts, crafts, home decor and many more.
